Splashing Around

Last night saw the first LC cash game since Vegas, and we had a full table with drinks and banter in full flow.

I played disappointingly, and lost £500, meaning that the last 7 days make miserable reading from a losses point of view. I got caught up in the festivities somewhat, and this led to some chip spewing on the river and one big miscalulation which cost the best part of £350.

Summary of the night:

  • Lost £100 to the Racist getting infuriatingly marginal odds with an open ended straight draw, with Jason also in the pot
  • Won £200 off Fluke by cracking his Aces with 55 (the majority of the money went in when I was ahead)
  • Won £150 off Tom with AK on a king high board after Tom shoves with inferior kicker
  • Made stupid error after building up a good stack. David bets £12 on the turn, I raise to £30 with Queen high, Racist accidently raises to £60 after bungling with his chips so I set him in and he calls with two pair :(
  • Won £150 off the Hairdresser with a rivered straight, as he called my big value bet on the end
  • Lost £250 to Shazbo when I river a flush, but she has a house.
  • Lost £100 to the Calculator after I bet £75 on the river in a 4 way pot with nothing and he makes a good call with 3rd pair.
  • Lost £150 when Tom raises to £30 after just looking at one card, and I shove last to act with KT. He calls with and hits a flush.

A fun night, but an expensive one. I’m pretty off form at the moment :(
